Alvah C Holmes
Alvah Holmes is an NYC based cinematographer, originally from Eaton Rapids, Michigan whose work in feature film, commercials and documentaries has been televised worldwide, and screened internationally. Local to New York's East Village, much of Alvah’s work is devoted to capturing the stories of non-profits, such as La Plaza Cultural, Lungs, Trust for Public Land, American Society of Landscape Design, Staten Island Hospital Cancer Research and many others. Alvah enjoys location shoots, which have taken him worldwide to places like, Japan, Dubai, Africa and India, and works all over the United States in areas like the Blue Mountains of Tennessee, Badlands of North Dakota, Lewis and Clark trail on the Columbia River and even sailboat racing on the NE Atlantic coast. Commercially, he works in various studios shooting commercial products and/or in fashion shows, on runways and on many celebrity shoots including Heidi Klum, Tracy Morgan, Julianne Moore, Method Man, Naomi Watts, Jake Gyllenhaal and many other models and actors. Alvah's passion lends itself to creation and capture of unique imagery especially in a landscape environments while he is always ready for the next adventure.
